Laser hair removal

REMOVE THE STUBBORNEST HAIR. FOREVER.

With permanent laser hair removal, you can achieve your dream of flawlessly smooth skin.

Whether it’s on the face, intimate areas, or legs, ingrown or unwanted hairs vanish safely—without any adverse effects on your skin.

PERMANENT LASER HAIR REMOVAL

Laser treatment is the premier method for permanent hair reduction.

It’s fast, effective, and non-invasive, making it the perfect solution for permanently eliminating even the most stubborn hairs on your body or face.

At Divine Medica, we employ a highly effective, clinically proven medical diode laser that delivers long-lasting results and instantly removes unwanted hair.

The laser operates on vacuum technology and is equipped with a cooling system. This combination ensures maximum comfort during treatment for all our patients. Whether treating large or small areas, our method provides precision even on the most difficult zones.

Although each hair-removal session is unique, there are guidelines to ensure maximum effectiveness. For example, our laser can treat darker skin tones, but yields the best results on untanned skin. It’s also important to avoid sunbathing and direct sunlight for two weeks before and after treatment. Three to four weeks prior to treatment, we recommend refraining from plucking or waxing hair; however, shaving, trimming, or using depilatory creams is perfectly fine. We advise that you shave the area to be treated one day before the session.

All our treatments begin with a one-on-one consultation with one of our medical experts. During this meeting, you’ll be informed of every detail, and together we’ll plan the steps and methods best suited to you.

Typically, seven to ten sessions are recommended, with intervals of four to six weeks between facial treatments and six to eight weeks between body treatments.

HOW MANY LASER HAIR-REMOVAL SESSIONS ARE NEEDED?

While laser hair removal successfully eliminates unwanted hair, the exact number of sessions depends on psychosomatic and physiological factors unique to each individual.

Treatment efficacy is influenced by hair color and thickness, as well as the depth of the follicles.

Success also depends on any endocrine issues and the client’s genotype. To achieve optimal results, it’s crucial to coordinate your treatment plan with our specialists, Elizabeta and Darko Nikolić, based on your skin and hair type. Occasional maintenance sessions may be necessary after completing the initial series.

WHAT DOES A LASER HAIR-REMOVAL SESSION LOOK LIKE?

After applying a water-based hydrogel, the laser handpiece is positioned on the skin and moved over the treatment areas.

The laser emits energy pulses with spot sizes of 8–14 mm, which clients typically perceive as a light tingling sensation.

During the session, you’ll feel gentle cooling thanks to the laser’s built-in skin-cooling system. The cooled tip also provides mild anesthetic effects, making treatment of sensitive areas relatively painless.

You may experience slight tingling or stinging, but most clients tolerate the procedure well.

It’s important to undergo multiple sessions spaced 4–8 weeks apart. Why? Hair grows in cycles, and melanin—the pigment targeted by the laser—is only bound to the follicle during the active growth phase.

HOW LONG DOES A SESSION LAST?

A small area (e.g., the upper lip) typically takes only a few minutes. A larger area (e.g., the back) can take up to twenty minutes.

PRE- AND POST-TREATMENT GUIDELINES

  • Shave the area one day before treatment.

  • Avoid tanning. If you’ve tanned (sun or self-tanner), wait 15–30 days for your skin tone to return to normal before treatment. Some experts even recommend avoiding sun exposure for up to six weeks before laser hair removal.

  • Avoid cellulite treatments for four weeks prior.

  • Acne antibiotics are contraindicated and should be discontinued at least 4–6 weeks before treatment.

  • Do not pluck hair or use waxing, sugaring, or epilators for 4–6 weeks before treatment; these methods interfere with permanent results.

  • Remove makeup and deodorant before your session.

  • After laser removal, avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 14 days.

POSSIBLE ADVERSE REACTIONS

In the first few hours after treatment, redness and mild swelling may occur. To ease discomfort, apply cool compresses to the treated areas.
