Mesotherapy and Biorevitalization

Welcome to the world of modern aesthetic treatments in our practice at Munich.

Mesotherapy and biorevitalization are two effective aesthetic treatments, and our doctors will carefully assess which one suits your skin type based on its current condition.

What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy, popular among French women, reveals the secret to their youthful appearance. This personalized treatment uses vitamins, enzymes, antioxidants, and other revitalizing ingredients, applied through microinjections to the upper layers of the skin.

This allows the revitalizing substances to penetrate through the epidermal barrier, reaching the deeper layers where they are most effective.

It is used for skin tightening, reducing wrinkles, lightening hyperpigmentation spots, as well as treating hair and the scalp.

What Is Biorevitalization?

Biorevitalization focuses on improving skin quality by injecting hyaluronic acid, stimulating collagen production and the skin’s natural regeneration. The goal of the therapy is to revitalize the skin and achieve a fresher, more youthful appearance. Results are visible immediately after the first session (3–4 sessions are recommended). This treatment is intended for patients over 25 years of age, as the body’s hyaluronic acid levels gradually decline.

In our modern and exclusive practice at Munich, we combine advanced techniques with years of experience focused on your well-being and expertise. By booking an appointment with our experienced aesthetic physicians, we look forward to supporting you on your journey to a brighter, more vital expression of your beauty.

What Exactly Is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a medical technique first developed in the 1950s by the French physician Dr. Michel Pistor. This minimally invasive procedure involves injecting small amounts of specific medications, vitamins, minerals, and other substances directly into the skin.

The term “mesotherapy” comes from “meso” (the middle layer of skin) and “therapy.” Injections are performed with very fine needles directly into the dermis. Commonly used mixtures include vitamins, minerals, amino acids, hyaluronic acid, and other active substances.

Mesotherapy can be used for skin rejuvenation, improving skin texture, hair restoration, cellulite treatment, and relief of pain or inflammation. It may be applied to various areas of the body, including the face, neck, décolletage, scalp, thighs, abdomen, and more.

What Exactly Is Biorevitalization?

Biorevitalization is an aesthetic treatment aimed at revitalizing and regenerating the skin. This technique is often applied to the face, neck, décolletage, and other skin areas. The focus is on improving skin structure, enhancing elasticity, and achieving a more youthful appearance.

Biorevitalization typically uses hyaluronic acid–based preparations. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance already present in the skin that is responsible for moisture retention. Hyaluronic acid or other revitalizing agents are injected through fine needles into the skin, usually in a series of multiple injections.

The treatment aims to hydrate the skin, improve elasticity, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and provide overall skin revitalization. It can also help even out skin tone and address concerns such as dryness and sun damage. The injected revitalizing substances can stimulate collagen and other important skin proteins. Collagen is responsible for the skin’s firmness and structure.

Biorevitalization offers a non-surgical option for those seeking skin rejuvenation without considering more invasive procedures like a facelift.

What Is the Difference Between These Two Treatments?

Our aesthetic physicians at Divine Medica in Munich have summarized the differences for you:

  • Injected Substances

    • Biorevitalization uses hyaluronic acid–based cocktails to stimulate collagen production.

    • Mesotherapy employs customized meso-cocktails containing vitamins, minerals, and other actives.

  • Age Recommendation

    • Mesotherapy can be performed on patients younger than 25.

    • Biorevitalization is recommended for patients over 25–30 years, when skin tone naturally begins to decline.

  • Treatment Course and Effect

    • Biorevitalization yields immediate visible results after the first session (3–4 sessions recommended).

    • Mesotherapy requires a cumulative effect, so multiple treatments are needed for optimal results.

Which Is Better, Biorevitalization or Mesotherapy?

Both therapies have their advantages:

  • Mesotherapy: Ideal for targeting various skin concerns such as wrinkles, acne, or cellulite. Uses specialized substances for localized treatment.

  • Biorevitalization: Focused on enhancing skin quality by retaining moisture and revitalizing the skin with hyaluronic acid injections—particularly effective for achieving a fresher and more youthful appearance.

The “better” choice depends entirely on your individual needs.

HOW DOES THE PROCEDURE WORK?

Our experienced doctors from Munich answered this question.

Mesotherapy

  1. Assessment & Ingredient Selection
A thorough examination of the treatment area is performed to understand needs and choose the appropriate active ingredients.

  2. Cleansing & Disinfection
The skin in the treatment area is carefully cleansed and disinfected to prevent infection.

  3. Injection of Active Ingredients
Using fine needles, specific actives (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, hyaluronic acid) are injected just below the skin.

  4. Mixture Adjustment
The amount and type of injected substances are tailored individually for optimal results.

  5. Post-Treatment Care
After treatment, the skin is treated with a cooling gel or cream to reduce possible swelling or redness.

Duration & Sensation:
Sessions last about 15–30 minutes (depending on the area). The procedure isn’t painful but may cause mild tingling. A topical anesthetic cream can be applied to make it more comfortable.

Biorevitalization

  1. Consultation
A detailed discussion with an experienced physician takes place to address your skin’s needs.

  2. Cleansing & Disinfection
The skin is thoroughly cleansed and disinfected in the treatment area.

  3. Injection of Revitalizing Agents
Preparations—most often hyaluronic acid–based—are injected into the skin over the treated area.

  4. Mixture Adjustment
The quantity and type of substances are customized per individual requirements.

  5. Post-Treatment Care
A soothing gel or cream may be applied afterward to reduce redness or swelling.

Duration & Course:
Each session typically lasts 30–60 minutes. Biorevitalization is usually recommended as a series of treatments for optimal results; the exact number and interval between sessions are determined on a case-by-case basis.
