WHAT IS THE COG THREAD TREATMENT PROCESS LIKE?

Before the treatment, one of our doctors will conduct a detailed clinical examination and determine the directions in which the COG threads will be placed.

During the examination, the doctor will take your preferences into account to precisely determine the areas where you want the lifting effect. The procedure is performed at our clinic under clean and sterile conditions.

First, a local anesthetic in the form of a cream is applied to the skin (you won’t feel any pain). Then, the COG threads are inserted using cannulas, or needles with specially treated tips that do not damage blood vessels or nerves. They are gently passed through the skin and tightened to achieve the desired effect.

You actively participate in the treatment, expressing your preferences to achieve the best possible result and determining how much lift you want. The treatment takes about 20-30 minutes and is performed on an outpatient basis.

WHAT RESULTS DO WE ACHIEVE WITH THE COG THREAD TREATMENT?

The COG thread treatment produces two effects.

The first effect is visible immediately after the procedure – reduced wrinkles and thus firmer skin. The second effect is the stimulative action of the COG threads on your skin – encouraging the formation of your natural structural materials in the skin and subcutaneous tissue, making your face appear firm and youthful.

For example, nasolabial folds, jawline, and chin contours are corrected. We achieve significant tightening of loose and lifeless skin. Facial contours are improved, the neck is tightened, and the quality and texture of the skin are enhanced.

HOW LONG DO COG THREAD RESULTS LAST?

The lifting effect of COG threads is visible immediately! The full effect and final results become apparent after about six months. Depending on age, skin type, and metabolism, the results of COG thread lifting can last 2 to 3 years, sometimes even longer.

WHAT SHOULD YOU PAY ATTENTION TO BEFORE AND AFTER THE TREATMENT?

Before COG thread treatment:

It is important that you do not have an acute skin infection, that you arrive without makeup, and that you avoid taking blood thinners for a few days before the treatment.

After COG thread treatment:

Immediately after the treatment, it is recommended to apply ice or cold compresses for up to 5 minutes. For the first three nights, it is advised to keep your head elevated and sleep on your back. Makeup should be applied very gently, and the face should be carefully cleaned and dried.

Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for the next three weeks, as well as facial treatments and massages, contact sports, saunas and hot baths, dental procedures, and excessive facial movements while speaking, chewing, or yawning (if possible).

WHAT SIDE EFFECTS ARE POSSIBLE?

After the treatment, mild hematomas, tissue swelling, slight pain, and a feeling of tightness may occur. These side effects are expected and usually last for a few days or weeks.

Some patients may experience mild numbness or loss of sensation, which usually resolves within a few weeks.

WHAT ARE THE CONTRAINDICATIONS?

Individual intolerance to medications or their components. Use of blood-thinning medications. Heart and blood vessel diseases, psychological and neurological disorders, as well as infectious, bacterial, viral, and fungal diseases. Pregnancy and breastfeeding. Severe changes in soft tissues.
