Infection, herpes reactivation, delayed healing, scarring and persistent colour changes are not expected short-term healing reactions and require appropriate assessment. The eyelid area is documented, cleansed and appropriately anaesthetised. Suitable eye protection is essential. Treatment intensity is adjusted to suit the thin eyelid skin and the tissue supporting it.
Controlled fractional laser pulses are applied to the agreed eyelid areas. Treatment intensity depends on the area and your skin’s response. Gentle aftercare is then provided for the treated skin. Local anaesthesia helps reduce discomfort, although warmth, burning or tightness may still be felt during treatment.
At the end of the session, we assess the immediate response of the treated area. Initial changes in the eyelid skin may become visible after 2–6 weeks. Aftercare and follow-up appointments are tailored accordingly.
