Botulinum toxin is a prescription medicine given after medical assessment. Temporary redness, tenderness, bruising, headache or asymmetry can occur. Less common risks include eyelid or brow droop, unwanted weakness, double vision, swallowing difficulty or breathing problems. Seek urgent medical help for severe or spreading symptoms.
