Botox
Soften expression lines while keeping the face natural and balanced.
Facial aesthetic Botox uses carefully placed botulinum toxin injections to reduce selected muscle movement and soften lines caused by repeated facial expression.

These treatments use small doses of prescription botulinum toxin in selected facial muscles. By temporarily reducing muscle activity, they can soften dynamic lines such as forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet. Treatment can also be planned for concerns such as a gummy smile, lip flip or downturned mouth corners.

Applications include softening expression lines, balancing selected facial movements and making subtle changes to the brow, lip or lower face. The exact injection pattern depends on facial anatomy, muscle strength, expression and the result the patient wants.

Changes usually develop gradually over several days and are commonly reviewed after about two weeks. The aim is a rested, natural appearance rather than a frozen face. Results are temporary, and duration varies with the product, dose, treatment area and individual response.

Botulinum toxin is a prescription medicine and must follow a medical assessment. Temporary redness, tenderness, bruising, headache or asymmetry can occur. Less common risks include eyelid or brow droop, unwanted weakness, double vision, swallowing difficulty or breathing problems. Urgent medical help is needed for severe or spreading symptoms.

It may suit adults bothered by expression lines or selected muscle-related facial concerns who want a temporary, non-surgical option. It is not suitable for everyone, including some people with infection at the treatment site, certain neuromuscular conditions, pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Many people choose one appointment followed by a review. Repeat treatment is considered only after movement returns and the prescribing clinician confirms that another session is appropriate.
Most people return to normal activity the same day. Small injection marks, redness, tenderness or bruising may be visible for a short time.
The clinician assesses facial movement at rest and during expression, checks medical history and medicines, then selects the treatment areas and dose. A conservative first treatment may be recommended.
