LED Light Therapy consultation

Treatment Overview

LED light therapy uses selected wavelengths without needles or skin ablation. Blue light is mainly used as an adjunct for inflammatory spots and can act through light-sensitive components of Cutibacterium acnes. Red light is used to support calmer-looking skin and address early signs of skin ageing. The relevant factors are the wavelength, power and treatment duration of the specific device.

LED Light Therapy treatment

Who is this treatment suitable for?

LED can complement gentle skincare or a suitable skin treatment. Suitability depends on your skin condition, light sensitivity and the specific goal of treatment.

LED Light Therapy safety

Safety and Tolerability

Light sensitivity, medical conditions and medications are considered before LED treatment. Eye protection and settings depend on the device. Any unexpected skin reaction is assessed before the treatment series continues.

Treatment Process

Your personal LED consultation determines whether inflammatory blemishes, fine lines or support for skin recovery is the main priority. We tailor the plan to the treatments suitable for you and how well your skin tolerates them.

Preparation and Aftercare

Before the treatment

Tell us about medications that increase light sensitivity, relevant medical conditions and any recent treatments. Do not change prescribed medication on your own. Areas of acute irritation or unexplained skin changes are assessed before light therapy.

After the treatment

Continue with the agreed gentle skincare and daily sun protection. If LED is combined with another treatment, follow the recovery restrictions for that procedure. Unexpected or persistent irritation should be discussed before another LED session.

Results

A series of LED treatments may have a positive effect on inflammatory spots and early signs of skin ageing, with results developing over repeated applications and varying from person to person. Red and, where the device supports it, near-infrared light are used for photobiomodulation and to support skin recovery. Near-infrared light is not visible to the eye. Blackheads, deep acne nodules and significant excess skin require other treatment approaches.

Prices

The final treatment plan and price are confirmed during your consultation.

Prices may vary depending on the product, extent of treatment and any combination of treatments.
