Before the treatment
Share your medical history, allergies, medicines and previous procedures, and do not stop prescribed medicine unless the prescribing clinician advises it. Postpone treatment if there is active infection, a dental infection or inflamed skin near the area.
After the treatment
Avoid pressing the area, strenuous exercise, alcohol and strong heat for the period advised, and seek urgent help for severe pain, pale skin or any visual change.
