After injections, temporary swelling, small bruises or tenderness may occur. Infection, persistent nodules and allergic reactions are not typical short-term side effects. Please also tell us about medications and recent skin treatments or injections. Do not change prescribed medicines on your own. If you have herpes, an infection or inflamed skin, contact us before your appointment.
After PhilArt, you receive aftercare tailored to the region and your skin response. Keep the skin clean and rub or massage only if specifically advised. We discuss how long you should avoid exercise and heat exposure. Unusually severe pain, pale or discoloured skin, or visual symptoms require immediate medical attention.
Your skin may become more supple and smoother over the course of treatment. We usually assess changes in elasticity and fine lines 8–12 weeks after the planned series. Individual response varies.
