What is Polynucleotides?
Polynucleotide products contain purified nucleotide chains and are used in treatments aimed at improving skin quality. Concentration and intended use vary between products. We explain the choice and realistic expectations during a personal consultation.

What does Polynucleotides entail?
After assessment, we select an appropriate product and plan its distribution. The skin is cleansed and disinfected, and small amounts of the product are injected into the agreed area.
Applications of Polynucleotides
Polynucleotides may be used for the face and selected sensitive skin areas. Around the eyes, we use a product intended for that region and pay particular attention to skin thickness and the tendency to swell.

Safety of Polynucleotides
Small bumps, redness, mild swelling or bruising may occur temporarily after polynucleotide injections. Allergic reactions, infection or persistent nodules are not normal recovery responses. Known allergies to source materials used in the product, especially fish allergy, are considered beforehand.
Before and Aftercare
The polynucleotide product best suited to you also depends on allergies, medications and previous injections. Please discuss these details during your personal consultation. Irritated or inflamed skin in the target area requires medical assessment before treatment.
The treated area determines your aftercare following polynucleotides: use gentle products and avoid unnecessary pressure on the skin. We agree with you how long to avoid make-up, exercise and heat exposure. Worsening or unusual symptoms should be medically assessed.
We usually assess changes in skin quality over 2–6 weeks. If a series is planned, follow-up is coordinated with the individual appointments and further treatment is decided according to the progress so far.

Personal consultation
An in-person consultation helps you understand which polynucleotide products may suit the treatment area and goal. We clearly explain the expected benefits, how well the treatment is generally tolerated and the available alternatives. A 30-minute consultation costs €75.

At DIVINE Medica in Munich, we select the product based on the treatment area, our assessment and your treatment goal. Previous injections and allergies are considered along with the question of what degree of change is realistic.
A series may be appropriate depending on the product and our assessment. We discuss the number of sessions, intervals and follow-up before starting and adjust them if needed according to the skin response.
