Salicylic Acid Peel consultation

Treatment Overview

Salicylic acid is an oil-soluble peeling acid. It loosens superficial dead skin cells and can help clear oily, blocked pores. Strength and application are selected with the skin barrier and sensitivity in mind.

Salicylic Acid Peel treatment

Who is this treatment suitable for?

Oily skin with blocked pores and recurring blackheads may be suitable. Skin-barrier condition, current products and possible salicylate intolerance influence the choice.

Salicylic Acid Peel safety

Safety and Tolerability

Peel formulation and strength are selected according to your skin barrier, tendency to develop pigmentation changes and medical history. Temporary peeling may be expected, but chemical burns, infection, herpes reactivation, scarring and persistent pigment changes are possible complications. Personalised preparation and aftercare take these risks into account.

Treatment Process

We assess areas of shine and blackheads alongside any dry or sensitive areas. We tailor the plan to the treatments suitable for you and how well your skin tolerates them.

Preparation and Aftercare

Before the treatment

Tell us about salicylate allergies, medications, herpes and previous peels. Do not change prescribed medication on your own. Avoid irritating products and tanning according to the preparation plan; broken skin is not treated.

After the treatment

Continue gentle skincare and sun protection. Pause additional acids or retinoids as advised. Do not rub or pick at flaking skin; severe burning or persistent inflammation requires medical assessment.

Results

After around 3–10 days, the skin may look clearer. A course of treatment may help maintain the result; the degree of improvement and how long it lasts depend on your skin’s oil production and skincare routine. Further peels are performed only after sufficient recovery.
