Lenisna is aimed at certain patterns of volume loss and reduced tissue support in the face. By stimulating collagen production, it is intended to gradually increase fullness in the treated tissue. At our Munich practice, treatment is planned around your natural proportions, allowing time for tissue changes between treatments.
Lenisna combines poly-D,L-lactic acid with hyaluronic acid. As an injectable collagen stimulator, it is used to increase fullness gradually in suitable facial areas. Injection depth and correct product preparation are important.
Treatment may be appropriate for certain patterns of volume loss and reduced tissue firmness. Previous injections, the anatomy of the area and your expectations determine whether Lenisna is suitable.
For every collagen stimulator, we assess whether the product, region and tissue depth are appropriate. Please tell us about allergies, existing fillers, unusual scar formation, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Depending on the product, injectable collagen stimulators cannot always be specifically dissolved; we discuss this difference before you decide.
Small bruises, mild swelling and tenderness may occur temporarily after treatment. Persistent nodules, delayed inflammation, infection or uneven results should be medically assessed. Rare vascular complications can seriously affect tissue or vision. Severe pain, unusual skin discolouration or visual symptoms therefore require immediate medical attention.

Lenisna is used according to a personalised plan that considers volume distribution, tissue depth and the proportions you want to achieve.
If you would like greater fullness, we first assess your facial proportions carefully. During a Lenisna consultation, tissue quality, volume distribution and previous treatments are considered alongside your personal goals. This allows us to create a realistic treatment plan for gradual change.
Lenisna is prepared according to the product instructions for the agreed tissue plane. After cleansing and disinfection, you review the procedure with your doctor. Any anaesthesia is tailored to the treatment area and your individual sensitivity.
We inject the prepared Lenisna into the planned tissue areas using a technique appropriate for the product. The amount used and injection sites are based on your anatomy and the agreed plan for gradually increasing fullness.
After Lenisna, the treated regions and their response are checked. You receive advice on recovery during the first few days. Later assessment takes into account that changes in tissue structure and fullness may take longer to develop.
Before Lenisna, we need to know about previous injections, implants and recent skin treatments. Please tell us about allergies and medications; do not change prescribed medicines without advice. If you have herpes, inflammation or infection in the intended treatment area, contact us before the appointment.
Care during the first few days after Lenisna depends on the treatment area and your skin response. Keep the skin clean and follow your personal instructions on touching the area, massage, exercise and heat exposure. Do not rub or massage unless advised. Severe pain, unusual skin discolouration or visual symptoms require immediate medical attention.
Gradual changes in the tissue may improve fullness and support in the treated areas. We assess progress over 3–6 months after the planned series. Further steps depend on the actual result.

Recovery time: 1–3 days
Redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising can occur at the injection sites. These reactions often settle within a few days, although visible marks may last longer.
Additional injections, skin treatments or energy-based procedures may be useful when appropriate. We assess each combination, plan the sequence and allow sufficient time between treatments.
When planning treatment to restore fullness with Lenisna, we consider both the desired change and your existing tissue structure. FA Dr. Med. (univ. Belgrad) Darko Nikolic has a particular focus on collagen stimulation in this area. Planning takes previous injections into account and allows time for the tissue to respond before further treatment is considered.
