What is TCA Peel?
Trichloroacetic acid allows controlled renewal of selected skin layers. Concentration, application and technique determine the depth. Treatment intensity is therefore selected according to your skin type and the time needed for healing.
What does TCA Peel entail?
TCA is applied to the prepared skin in a controlled manner according to the chosen protocol. The skin response is monitored, followed by suitable skincare and recovery instructions.
Applications of TCA Peel
TCA may be used for suitable textural irregularities, fine lines and certain pigmentation concerns. We assess the cause of your skin concern and your skin type beforehand. More intensive applications require correspondingly longer healing time.
Safety of TCA Peel
Burning, redness and peeling can accompany the renewal process. Chemical burns, infection, herpes reactivation, scarring and persistent pigment changes are separate risks. Your treatment plan takes the intensity of the peel and how your skin heals into account.
Before and Aftercare
Please discuss medications, herpes, tendency to develop pigmentation changes and previous peels. Do not change prescribed medication without medical advice. Follow the recommended sun avoidance and preparation routine; irritated or broken skin should be assessed first.
Allow flaking skin and crusts to come away naturally. Tailored skincare and consistent sun protection support recovery. Contact us promptly if you develop severe pain, blistering or signs of inflammation.
The skin may peel over several days. Depending on the depth, the surface can usually be assessed after around 1–3 weeks. Texture and pigmentation are monitored over the longer term.
