What is Removal of Skin Lesions with CO₂ Laser?
The CO₂ laser removes selected superficial tissue in a controlled manner. Medical diagnosis comes before treatment. If tissue examination is required, it must be planned before complete laser removal.

What does Removal of Skin Lesions with CO₂ Laser entail?
Once the diagnosis has been confirmed, the area is cleansed and anaesthetised and the lesion is removed to the agreed extent. Eye protection and smoke evacuation are used during treatment. The resulting wound then receives suitable care.
Applications of Removal of Skin Lesions with CO₂ Laser
Confirmed benign skin lesions such as skin tags, suitable keratoses or xanthelasma may be treated. Location, depth and available skin determine the technique. Unexplained or suspicious skin changes are investigated before treatment.

Safety of Removal of Skin Lesions with CO₂ Laser
Temporary sensitivity or minor bleeding may occur. Infection, delayed healing, scarring and pigment changes are not ordinary short-term reactions. Diagnostic assessment before the procedure helps ensure suspicious lesions receive the appropriate investigation.
Before and Aftercare
Please tell us about changes in shape, colour or size, as well as previous treatments. Medications and allergies are also relevant to planning. Do not change prescribed medication or try to remove the lesion yourself beforehand.
Keep the wound clean and protected as instructed. Do not remove crusts, and use suitable sun protection after the skin has closed. Increasing pain, redness or discharge should be medically assessed promptly.
Depending on the size and location, the wound may close within around 1–4 weeks. Skin colour and scar appearance continue to evolve. Recurrent lesions are assessed independently of the healing time.

Personal consultation
Your personal consultation clarifies the diagnosis and an appropriate removal method. We explain the wound that treatment will leave and the possibility of scarring beforehand. A 30-minute consultation costs €75.
